The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught this dua to a companion who complained of pain in his body: 'Uthman ibn Abi al-'As reported: I complained to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) about a pain I had felt in my body since I embraced Islam. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: 'Place your hand where you feel pain in your body and say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah) three times and say seven times: A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru (I seek refuge in Allah and His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear).'
