It was narrated from 'Uthman bin Abi Al-'As (may Allah be pleased with him) that he complained to Allah's Messenger ﷺ about a pain he had felt in his body since he became Muslim. So Allah's Messenger ﷺ said to him: 'Place your hand on the part of your body that hurts and say: Bismillahi (In the name of Allah) three times, and say seven times: A'udhu bi'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir. (I seek refuge in Allah's glory and His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear.) I narrated this to my father, and he placed his hand on the spot where he felt the pain and performed this dua and was cured.' - Sahih Muslim 2208
