The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Whoever says this dua at night and it (that plant) does not grow (die) in his house for that night, he will suffer no harm from anything.' (Sahih Muslim 2708). This narration, while mentioning plants not growing, is understood by scholars to signify general protection from all harm, including disease, especially when the context of seeking refuge in Allah's words is considered.
