بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing can cause harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

Bismillahi alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem

When to Read

This powerful supplication is recommended to be recited every morning and evening. By saying it three times in the morning, you are protected until the evening, and by saying it three times in the evening, you are protected until the morning. It provides comprehensive protection against all forms of harm, including poisons and harmful substances, by seeking Allah's safeguard.

Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever says: "Bismillahi alladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem" three times in the morning, he will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the morning, and whoever says it in the evening, he will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3866, graded Sahih by Al-Albani. Also narrated in Sunan Ibn Majah 3548).
