‘Uthman ibn Abu Al-‘As (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a pain that I had felt in my body since I embraced Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Place your hand on the part where you feel pain in your body, and say: Bismillah (In the name of Allah) three times, and say seven times: A'udhu bi 'izzatillahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhir (I seek refuge in Allah and in His power from the evil of what I feel and what I fear).’ (Sahih Muslim 2208)
