Source & Authentication
Narrated Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): I used to hear that the Prophet (peace be upon him) whenever he was on his deathbed, would hold his hands up and say: 'Allahumma-ghfir li warhamni wa alhiqni bir-rafeeqil-a'la' (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy upon me, and join me with the Highest Companion). And when his hands dropped, I would know that he had passed away.
