Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque and found a man from the Ansar called Abu Umamah. He said: Abu Umamah, why do I see you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time of prayer? He replied: O Messenger of Allah, I am overcome by worries and debts. He said: Should I not teach you words which, when you say them, Allah will remove your worries and settle your debts? He replied: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: Say in the morning and evening: (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow, from incapacity and laziness, from stinginess and cowardice, and from the burden of debt and from being overpowered by men). Anas said: When I did that, Allah removed my worries and settled my debts.
