اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ، دِقَّهُ وَجِلَّهُ، أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ، عَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ

O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the small and the great, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.

Allahumma-ghfirli dhanbi kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, awwalahu wa akhirahu, 'alaniyatahu wa sirrahu

When to Read

This dua is particularly relevant when we reflect on our lives, especially during times of ease and prosperity when we might have unintentionally fallen into neglecting Allah's commands or committing sins. It's a comprehensive supplication to acknowledge all our wrongdoings, both big and small, that occurred when life was perhaps less challenging, and we might have felt more complacent.

Recite this dua with sincere intention and a humble heart. Imagine yourself presenting your sins before Allah, acknowledging your weakness and seeking His overwhelming mercy. It's best recited after any prayer, or during personal supplications (dua) when you are in a state of reflection and regret.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say in his supplication: 'O Allah, forgive me my sin, all of it, the small and the great, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden.'
