Dua for Repentance and Protection from Future Sins

Repentance & Tawbah
Hasan HadithSunan At-Tirmidhi 3233

O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And if You intend to try Your creation with a trial, then take me to Yourself without [being tried and falling into] that trial. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.

Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'l al-khayrat, wa tark al-munkarat, wa hubb al-masakin, wa an taghfir li wa tarhamani, wa idha aradta fi khalqika fitnatan fa tawaffani ilayka ghayra maftoon. As'aluka hubbaka, wa hubba man yuhibbuk, wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik.

Source & Authentication

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us the Tashahhud and instructed us about it, and he taught us to say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka min al-khairi kullihi 'ajlihi wa ajilihi, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma lam a'lam. Wa a'udhu bika min ash-sharri kullihi 'ajlihi wa ajilihi, ma 'alimtu minhu wa ma lam a'lam. Allahumma inni as'alukal-jannata wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw 'amalin, wa a'udhu bika minan-nari wa ma qarraba ilayha min qawlin aw 'amalin. Wa as'aluka an taj'ala kulla qada'in qadaytahu li khayran.' (O Allah, I ask You for all the good of this world and the Hereafter, that I know of and that I do not know. I seek refuge in You from all the evil of this world and the Hereafter, that I know of and that I do not know. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and whatever words or deeds bring one closer to it. And I seek refuge in You from the Fire and whatever words or deeds bring one closer to it. And I ask You to make every decree that You decree for me good.) However, the specific dua you're looking for, related to 'doing good deeds, abandoning evil, loving the poor, and protection from trials,' is a distinct supplication, often found in collections like Tirmidhi.
