يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.
Ya muqallibal-qulubi thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik
When to Read
This dua is incredibly relevant as Ramadan concludes. We often feel a spiritual high during the month, making it easier to pray, read Quran, and abstain from sins. However, the real test is maintaining that momentum once the special month passes. Recite this dua frequently, especially after Taraweeh prayers, upon waking, and during any moment you feel your resolve wavering. It's a constant reminder that our ability to remain steadfast comes from Allah.
How to Read
This is a short, potent supplication. Raise your hands (if possible and appropriate) and say it with sincerity and conviction. Reflect on the meaning: we are acknowledging that Allah is the one who guides and controls our hearts, and we are explicitly asking Him to keep us firm on the path of righteousness. It's best said after your obligatory prayers, or even just whispered throughout the day when you remember.
Virtues & Benefits
The primary benefit is directly asking Allah for the strength to remain steadfast. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us this specific dua because the heart is easily swayed. By making this supplication, we are aligning ourselves with the Sunnah and seeking the most direct means of divine assistance. It helps combat the complacency that can creep in after Ramadan, ensuring that the spiritual gains are not lost. It's about making our worship a continuous habit, not just a seasonal one.

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: "The most frequent supplication of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we have believed in what you brought and what you revealed. Are you afraid for us?' He said: 'Yes, for the hearts are between the fingers of the Most Merciful, He turns them however He wills.'" (Sahih Muslim 2669)
