Ramadan & Fasting
Hasan HadithSunan At-Tirmidhi 3233

O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to test people with a trial, take me to Yourself without having been tested. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of the deed that brings me closer to Your love.

Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'lal khayrat, wa tarkal munkarat, wa hubbal masakin, wa an taghfira li wa tarhamani, wa idha aradta fitnatan fi qawmin fa tawaffani ilayha ghaira maftun, wa as'aluka hubbaka, wa hubba man yuhibbuk, wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik

Source & Authentication

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Buraidah from his father, who said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me a supplication to say after the prayer: O Allah, forgive me my past and future sins, what I have concealed and what I have declared. And what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I. You are the Forward (Al-Muqaddim) and the Backward (Al-Mu'akhkhir). There is none worthy of worship but You. The narrator said: 'Abdullah bin Buraidah said: 'It was narrated to us that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught him this supplication. Then Buraidah said: 'I taught this to my son, and he used to supplicate with it between himself and Allah, and he used to supplicate with the following supplication: O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, and to abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor, and that You forgive me and have mercy on me. And when You intend to test people with a trial, take me to Yourself without having been tested. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of the deed that brings me closer to Your love.'
