أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

When to Read

This powerful dua is recommended to be recited in the morning and evening, three times each. It's a shield for the believer against unseen evils, including the whispers and harms of jinn and other malevolent spirits.

How to Read

Recite with sincere intention and firm belief in Allah's power. The 'perfect words of Allah' refer to His divine commands and His creation itself, which are all under His control. Focus on the meaning and the protective embrace of Allah.

Abu Huraira reported: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! I was stung by a scorpion last night.' He said: 'Had you recited these words when evening came: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq), it would not have harmed you.' It was said to Abu Huraira: 'These words are for protection against every poison.' Abu Huraira said: 'It is indeed a protection against every evil and every poison.'
