O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the reversal of Your protection, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. And I seek refuge in You from the severe trials, the attainment of misery, the evil of destiny, and the rejoicing of enemies.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik, wa a'udhu bika min jahdil-bala', wa darakish-shaqa', wa su'il-qada', wa shamatatil-a'da'.

Virtues & Benefits
This powerful dua encapsulates a broad spectrum of seeking refuge in Allah. It goes beyond just physical safety, asking protection from the loss of divine favors and well-being, sudden divine retribution, and anything that incurs Allah's anger. Crucially, it asks for protection from 'the attainment of misery' (darakish-shaqa'), which can certainly stem from the inner turmoil caused by envy and hatred. By seeking refuge from these deep-seated evils, we purify our hearts and strengthen our connection with Allah.
Source & Authentication
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach them, just as he taught them a Surah from the Qur'an, saying: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demise of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the toil of affliction, and the reaching of misery, and the evil of decree, and the rejoicing of enemies.' Zuhayr said: 'From the toil of affliction, and the reaching of misery, and the evil of decree, and the evil of the disbelievers.'
