بِسْمِ اللهِ، تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللهِ، وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللهِ
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.
Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah
When to Read
This dua is recited when you are stepping out of your home, whether for work, prayer, errands, or any other reason. It's a declaration of reliance on Allah as you venture out into the world.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely as you are about to leave your home, ideally just as you are stepping out or even before closing the door. Utter the words with a heart full of trust in Allah's protection and providence. It's a simple yet profound affirmation of your dependence on the Almighty.
Virtues & Benefits
When you recite this dua upon leaving your home, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that you will be told: 'You are guided, you are defended, and you are in no need of anything.' Satan will then move away from you, and another Satan will say, 'How can you get to a man whom Allah has guided, defended, and is in no need of anything?' This shows the immense protection and guidance that Allah bestows upon the one who seeks refuge in Him before stepping out.

Narrated Anas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "When a person leaves his house and says: 'Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah,' it will be said to him: 'You have been sufficed, protected, and guided.' As a result, the devil (Satan) will depart from him. Another devil will say to him: 'How can you deal with a man whom Allah has sufficed, protected, and guided?'" (Sahih Muslim 1342).
