O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, and the goodness of its people, and the goodness of whatever is in it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its people, and the evil of whatever is in it.

Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ahliha wa khayra ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha wa sharri ma fiha

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: If any of you travel and pass by a settlement, let him ask for its goodness from its people and seek refuge in Allah from its evil. When he enters a settlement, let him say: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ahliha wa khayra ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ahliha wa sharri ma fiha.' (O Allah, I ask You for its goodness, and the goodness of its people, and the goodness of whatever is in it. And I seek refuge in You from its evil, and the evil of its people, and the evil of whatever is in it.)
