O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trials, both apparent and hidden, and I seek refuge in You from the misguidance of desires and from misleading matters. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trials of wealth (which makes one heedless) and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trials of poverty.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal fitnati, ma dhahara minha wa ma batan, wa a'udhu bika min dalalil ahwaa'i, wa min mudhillatil umoori, wa a'udhu bika min sharri fitnatil aghnati, wa a'udhu bika min sharri fitnatil faqri.

It was narrated from Zayd ibn Arqam that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught them a dua to say in their prayer: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal fitnati, ma dhahara minha wa ma batan, wa a'udhu bika min dalalil ahwaa'i, wa min mudhillatil umoori, wa a'udhu bika min sharri fitnatil aghnati, wa a'udhu bika min sharri fitnatil faqri.' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the trials, both apparent and hidden, and I seek refuge in You from the misguidance of desires and from misleading matters. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trials of wealth, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of the trials of poverty.)
