Dua for Protection from the Harshness of Society

Protection
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 4883

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the demise of Your blessings, and the change of Your protection, and the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and sorrow. I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and miserliness. And I seek refuge in You from the overpowering of debt and the domination of men.

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa faja'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-hammi wal-hazani, wa a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi wal-kasali, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubni wal-bukhli, wa a'udhu bika min ghalabatid-dayni wa qahrir-rijal.
