أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq

When to Read

This powerful dua can be recited at any time you feel a neighbor's actions are causing you distress, fear, or actual harm. It's particularly beneficial to recite it regularly, perhaps in the morning and evening (as advised for other general protections), or whenever you are about to interact with or are affected by the neighbor in question. It serves as a proactive shield and a reactive remedy.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and full conviction in Allah's power to protect. It's recommended to raise your hands slightly as you recite, as is common etiquette in supplication. You can also blow gently onto yourself after reciting, as taught in other similar protection duas. Focus on the meaning and trust that Allah, the Most High, hears your plea and will grant you the best outcome.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive supplication encapsulates seeking refuge in Allah's all-encompassing and perfect words. By reciting it, you are entrusting your protection to the Creator of everything, acknowledging His absolute power over all forms of evil and harm. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua as a means of protection from all creation's evils, which naturally includes the harm that might arise from a difficult neighbor. It’s a reminder that no matter how troublesome the situation, Allah's protection is paramount and sufficient.
