Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ informed us that whoever recites this dua in the morning and evening will be protected from all harmful things. Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'I encountered a scorpion that stung me last night.' He said, 'If you had said when evening came: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created), it would not have harmed you.' Sahih Muslim 2708. This hadith highlights the immense power of this supplication in warding off harm, whether it be from the natural world or other unseen dangers.
