O Allah, I seek refuge in You from stinginess, and I seek refuge in You from cowardice, and I seek refuge in You from being returned to the worst stage of life, and I seek refuge in You from the trials of this world, and I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-bukhl, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubn, wa a'udhu bika min an uradda ila ardhali al-'umr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatid-dunya, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabil-qabr.

Virtues & Benefits
This dua protects us from stinginess (bukhl), which can hinder our generosity and connection with others, and from cowardice (jubn), which can prevent us from upholding truth and facing life's challenges. It also safeguards us from reaching a decrepit old age where one might lose their faculties, from the temptations and trials of this life, and from the torment of the grave. It's a holistic protection sought from our Creator.

Narrated by Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to supplicate: 'Allahumma inni as'alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-'afafa wal-ghina. (O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and richness). And he used to seek refuge from the evil of stinginess and cowardice. He also used to seek refuge from the evil of being returned to the worst stage of old age, and he used to seek refuge from the evil of the trial of this world and the punishment of the grave. (Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-bukhl, wa a'udhu bika minal-jubn, wa a'udhu bika min an uradda ila ardhali al-'umr, wa a'udhu bika min fitnatid-dunya, wa a'udhu bika min 'adhabil-qabr.)
