بِسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ

In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

Bismillahilladhi la yaduru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem.

When to Read

This powerful dua is recommended to be recited in the morning and evening. By saying it, a person is protected from all afflictions and unforeseen calamities until they wake up or the evening comes, respectively. It's a beautiful way to start and end your day with the remembrance of Allah's protection.

How to Read

Recite this dua sincerely, with conviction in your heart that Allah (SWT) is your ultimate protector. It is best to say it three times in the morning after Fajr prayer and three times in the evening after Maghrib prayer to gain its full benefit, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Virtues & Benefits

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ explicitly stated that whoever says this dua three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any misfortune until evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any misfortune until morning. (Sunan Abi Dawud 5087). This protection extends to all kinds of harm, be it from people, jinn, or natural disasters. It is a profound testament to the power of invoking Allah's name and trusting in His limitless power and knowledge.

Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,' three times in the morning, he will not be afflicted by any misfortune until evening.
