O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the cessation of Your blessings, the turning of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your vengeance, and all Your displeasure. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from demolition, I seek refuge in You from falling headlong, I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by desires, and I seek refuge in You from stumbling upon the earth or from being disgraced in religion.
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatika, wa fuj'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. Allahumma inni a'udhu bikal-hadmi, wa a'udhu bika minat-taraddi, wa a'udhu bika minal-hawami, wa a'udhu bika an atakhabbata fil-ardi, aw ushqara fid-din.
When to Read
This powerful dua should be recited regularly, especially in the morning and evening (after Fajr and 'Asr prayers). It's particularly relevant when you feel your efforts are being unnoticed, your contributions are undervalued, or you fear falling into a state where your spiritual standing is compromised, leading to a sense of being overlooked or underestimated. Making it a habit ensures you're seeking Allah's protection proactively.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and full conviction in Allah's power to protect. Face the Qibla if possible, and raise your hands as you supplicate. Understand the meaning of each phrase as you utter it, reflecting on Allah's absolute sovereignty and your reliance on His protection. After reciting, you can follow up with specific personal duas for recognition and respect in your endeavors, asking Allah to make your efforts visible and valued for His sake.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua offers comprehensive protection. By seeking refuge from the 'cessation of blessings' and 'turning of well-being,' we guard against losing the positive aspects of our lives, which can lead to others overlooking us. Protection from 'sudden vengeance' and 'displeasure' ensures our actions don't lead to divine reprisal that might cause us to be sidelined. The specific plea against 'demolition,' 'falling headlong,' and 'being overwhelmed by desires' protects us from personal ruin or spiritual decline that would certainly lead to being underestimated. Finally, seeking refuge from 'stumbling upon the earth' or 'being disgraced in religion' guards our worldly and religious standing, preventing the kind of errors or indignities that cause others to lose respect for us.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from demolition, and I seek refuge in You from falling headlong, and I seek refuge in You from being overwhelmed by desires, and I seek refuge in You from stumbling upon the earth or from being disgraced in religion."
