O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the turning away of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. I seek refuge in You from the trials of loved ones, and from the evil of companions. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have brought, and from the evil of what I have not brought. I seek refuge in You from being left to myself, or being left to someone better than myself, or being left to someone other than myself. I seek refuge in You from misguiding error and misleading guidance. I seek refuge in You from followed desires and followed opinions. I seek refuge in You from the hardship of affliction, the attainment of misery, evil decree, and the rejoicing of enemies. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I know and the evil of what I do not know, from the evil of what I conceal and the evil of what I reveal. I seek refuge in You from the evil of the things that are most feared by me, and from the evil of all that You have created. I seek refuge in You from the disappearance of Your blessings, the turning away of Your well-being, the suddenness of Your punishment, and all that You are displeased with. I seek refuge in You from being left to myself, or being left to someone other than myself.

Source & Authentication
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to teach his companions to seek refuge in Allah from four things, saying: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min jahd al-bala', wa darak ash-shaqa', wa su' al-qada', wa shamatat al-a'da'. (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of affliction, the attainment of misery, evil decree, and the rejoicing of enemies.)' He also taught a more comprehensive version in another narration: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min zawali ni'matik, wa tahawwuli 'afiyatik, wa fuji'ati niqmatik, wa jami'i sakhatik. A'udhu bika min fitnatil-ahbab, wa min sharri-l-ashab. A'udhu bika min sharri ma ji'tu bih, wa min sharri ma lam uji' bih. A'udhu bika an akila ila nafsi, aw ukila ila khairin min nafsi, aw ukila ila ghayri. A'udhu bika min dalalatin mudillatin, wa hadyin mukhtalifin. A'udhu bika min hawan muttaba'in, wa ra'yin muttaba'in. A'udhu bika min juhdil-balaa', wa darak ish-shaqa', wa su'il-qada', wa shamatatil-a'daa'. A'udhu bika min sharri akhwaf-il-ashyaa'i ilayya, wa min sharri kulli shay'in khalaqt.'
