Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Allah's Messenger! I have been stung by a scorpion during the night.' He said, 'If you had said, when evening came: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq), it would not have harmed you.' (Sahih Muslim 2708). While the context here is a physical ailment, the wording of the dua is general and its benefit extends to seeking refuge from all evils, including those of bad influence and companionship.
