بَارَكَ اللهُ لَكَ فِي المَوْهُوبِ لَكَ، وَشَكَرَ الخَالِطَ لَكَ، وَبَلَغَ أَشُدَّكَ، وَرَزَقَكَ بِرَّهُ
May Allah bless you in His gift to you, may you give thanks to the One who is served by you, may he reach the age of maturity, and may you be granted righteousness towards him (or her).

When Abu Ubaid purchased a slave, he went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'Abu Ubaid purchased a slave.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'You have purchased a man of understanding.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah! Abu Ubaid purchased a slave.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Abu Ubaid, may Allah bless you in what He has granted you and may you give thanks to the One who granted it to you, and may he reach the age of maturity, and may you be granted righteousness towards him.' Then Abu Ubaid said: 'I have purchased a slave who has no fault.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The people are of different kinds, and the best of them in the time of ignorance are the best of them in Islam, when they understand the religion. Abu Ubaid said: 'I have purchased a slave who has no fault.' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'The people are of different kinds, and the best of them in the time of ignorance are the best of them in Islam, when they understand the religion.' (This is referring to the preceding conversation). - Sunan Abi Dawud 5103.
