O Allah, bestow Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You bestowed Your blessings upon Ibrahim and upon the family of Ibrahim. Verily, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. This is the most comprehensive form of sending blessings (Salawat) upon the Prophet ﷺ, often recited in Tashahhud during prayer, but also highly recommended during Tahajjud. Narrated Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah: We asked the Prophet ﷺ: 'O Messenger of Allah, how should we send blessings upon you?' He ﷺ replied: 'Say: Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala ali Muhammadin, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima wa 'ala ali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidun Majid.
