O Allah, I ask You for steadfast Iman, and I ask You for a heart that is humble and submissive, and I ask You for beneficial knowledge, and I ask You for sincere certainty, and I ask You for a steadfast religion. And I ask You for well-being in every trial, and I ask You for complete well-being, and I ask You for gratitude for well-being, and I ask You for contentment and freedom from need of people. Our Lord, grant us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'Ask Allah for 'Afiyah (well-being) in the world and the Hereafter. Ask Allah for forgiveness and well-being in my religion and my worldly affairs. Ask Allah for steadfastness and keep in mind the certainty of conviction in Him. And ask Him that you may live with gratitude and eat with satisfaction, and beware of Allah's punishment and His wrath, and do not be heedless of Him.' And he (peace be upon him) said: 'Make this supplication frequent: "O Allah, I ask You for steadfast Iman, and I ask You for a heart that is humble and submissive, and I ask You for beneficial knowledge, and I ask You for sincere certainty, and I ask You for a steadfast religion. And I ask You for well-being in every trial, and I ask You for complete well-being, and I ask You for gratitude for well-being, and I ask You for contentment and freedom from need of people. Our Lord, grant us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire."'
