โœฆ

Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and our offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.

Rabbana hab lana min azwajina wa dhurriyyatina qurrata a'yunin waj'alna lil-muttaqeena imama

When to Read

This powerful supplication is especially potent when recited during the blessed hours of the night, particularly during Tahajjud (night prayer). The stillness and heightened spiritual connection of this time make it ideal for seeking Allah's blessings for your marriage. You can make this dua at the end of your Tahajjud prayer, after finishing your supplications (duas), or during the time when Allah descends to the lowest heaven, which is believed to be the latter part of the night.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and a hopeful heart, directing your focus solely to Allah. Raise your hands in supplication as you would during prayer. Visualize the ideal companionship and harmony you wish for in your marriage while making the dua. Remember that the essence of dua lies in your reliance on Allah and your belief that He is Al-Qadir (The All-Powerful) to grant your request.

Virtues & Benefits

This verse from Surah Al-Furqan beautifully encapsulates the desire for a righteous family unit where spouses and children are a source of joy and peace, not strife. It is a comprehensive request for a marriage that is pleasing to Allah, leading to a righteous household that sets an example for others. Reciting it during Tahajjud amplifies its potential, as this is a time when sincere supplications are believed to be readily accepted.
