Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate in these words: 'Allahumma, forgive me my sins, all of them, the slight and the grave, the first and the last, the open and the secret.' He would say in his prostration: 'Allahumma, forgive me my heart, my observance, my knowledge, my patience, my sustenance, my actions, my intention, my worship, my hearing, my sight, my spirit, my speech, my prayer, my secrets, and my hands.' And he would say: 'O Allah, grant me light in my heart, light in my sight, light in my hearing, light on my right, light on my left, light above me, light below me, light in front of me, light behind me, and grant me greatness of light.' He (Abu Huraira) said: I said: 'My father and my mother be sacrificed for you! What is this? (This is a very comprehensive supplication).' He said: 'What is there between the east and the west (i.e. all the world)?' (Sahih Muslim 771)
