اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أَصْبَحْنَا، وَبِكَ أَمْسَيْنَا، وَبِكَ نَحْيَا، وَبِكَ نَمُوتُ، وَإِلَيْكَ النُّشُورُ

O Allah, by You we have entered the morning, and by You we have entered the evening, and by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection.

Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilaykan-nushoor

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say when he woke up: 'Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namutu, wa ilaykan-nushoor' (O Allah, by You we have entered the morning, and by You we have entered the evening, and by You we live, and by You we die, and to You is the resurrection). And when he fell asleep, he used to say: 'Allahumma bika nahya wa bika namutu wa ilaykal-maseer' (O Allah, by You we live and by You we die and to You is the destination). – Sunan Abi Dawud 5068. This hadith is also found in Sahih Muslim (2708), though the wording might slightly vary in different narrations.
