Narrated Hudhaifa (may Allah be pleased with him): Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) got up for the night-prayers, he would clean his mouth with Siwak. Then he would say: 'Allahumma bismika ahya wa amoot' (O Allah, with Your Name I live and I die). And when he woke up in the morning, he would say: 'Alhamdulillahil-ladhi ahyaana ba'da ma amaatana wa ilaihin-nushoor' (Praise be to Allah, Who revived us after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection).
