Virtues & Benefits
This dua serves as a powerful shield and a source of immense strength. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised that when this dua is recited, it is said to the person: 'You are guided, defended, and protected.' The devil is thus driven away from him, and another devil says to him: 'What can you do with a man who has been guided, defended, and protected?' This means that reciting this dua not only invokes Allah's tangible protection but also demoralizes Shaytan's attempts to mislead and harm you.

Narrated Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man goes out of his house and says: Bismillahi, tawakkaltu 'alallahi, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah), it is said to him: You are guided, defended, and protected. The devil is driven away from him and another devil says to him: What do you want with a man who has been guided, defended, and protected?'
