How to Read

Recite with sincere intention and focus. Raise your hands slightly if you can, facing the Qiblah if possible. Speak clearly and with conviction, asking Allah as if you can see Him. This dua is concise but profound, asking for the best of what the day can bring.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his wife Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) when she asked for the best to ask Allah for in the morning, covers essential aspects of a fulfilling day. Beneficial knowledge guides us, good provision sustains us, and accepted deeds bring us closer to Allah. By seeking accepted deeds, we encompass all our actions throughout the day, including our social interactions. When our deeds are accepted, it means Allah is pleased with them, which naturally leads to positive outcomes, including how we treat and are treated by others. It helps ensure our interactions are characterized by kindness, good manners, and a pleasing demeanor, all in accordance with Islamic teachings.
