اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This is a powerful dua to recite immediately after waking up in the morning, before engaging in any other activity. It sets the tone for your day, seeking divine guidance and blessings for your efforts.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, raising your hands slightly as was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ. Focus on the meaning of the words and truly ask Allah for these three essential things: beneficial knowledge, lawful and good sustenance, and acceptance of your deeds. It's best recited after the Fajr prayer but can be done anytime upon waking.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates a believer's holistic aspiration for their worldly and eternal well-being. Beneficial knowledge (ʿilm nafiʿ) is that which leads to correct action and brings one closer to Allah. Pure provision (rizq tayyib) encompasses not just wealth, but all forms of sustenance that are lawful and good for one's character and faith. Accepted deeds ('amal mutaqabbal) are those performed sincerely for Allah's sake, in accordance with His commands and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ, and which carry weight on the Day of Judgment. Reciting this consistently can bring barakah (blessings) to one's knowledge, provision, and actions throughout the day.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) performed the morning prayer, he would say: 'O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is beneficial, sustenance that is pure, and deeds that are accepted.' (Sahih Muslim 7:10)
