Narrated Abu Hurairah: When the Prophet ﷺ woke up in the morning, he used to say: 'Allahumma bika asbahna, wa bika amsayna, wa bika nahya, wa bika namoot, wa ilaykan-nushoor (O Allah, by You we have reached the morning and by You we have reached the evening, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is the Final Return). And when he went to sleep in the evening, he used to say: 'Allahumma bika nahya wa bika namoot, wa ilaykan-nameer (O Allah, by You we live and by You we die, and to You is our final destination).'
