بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem

This powerful dua is recited in the morning, after Fajr prayer or as you begin your day. It's a shield against all forms of harm, whether physical, spiritual, or emotional, that might come your way throughout the day.
How to Read
Recite it with sincerity and firm belief in Allah's power. Focus on the meaning as you say it, acknowledging that true protection comes only from Him. Say it three times for maximum benefit, as taught by the Prophet ﷺ.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Whoever says this three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any calamity until the evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any calamity until the morning.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 5088). This dua is a direct invocation of Allah's name, acknowledging His dominion over all creation and His perfect hearing and knowledge. It's a profound declaration of trust and reliance on Him, making us less susceptible to misfortune, envy, or any harm.

Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No servant says in the morning: > **Arabic:** بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ > **Translation:** In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in the heavens, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. > **Transliteration:** *Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa huwas-Samee'ul-Aleem* … three times, and he is not afflicted by calamity until the evening. And whoever says it in the evening, he is not afflicted by calamity until the morning.' — Sunan Abi Dawud 5088. It was authenticated by Al-Albani.
