Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 105

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and acceptable deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

When to Read

This dua is recommended to be recited immediately after waking up in the morning, before engaging in any other activities. It sets a positive and purposeful tone for the day ahead, seeking Allah's blessings for a productive and spiritually fulfilling experience.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction. It's best to say it with a clear mind, reflecting on the meaning of each request. You can say it once or multiple times, focusing on your intention to seek Allah's help and guidance for the day.

Virtues & Benefits

Reciting this dua is a beautiful way to start your day seeking the best from Allah. Beneficial knowledge ('ilman naafi'an) leads to greater understanding and wisdom. Good provision (rizqan tayyiban) means sustenance that is pure, lawful, and satisfying. Acceptable deeds ('amalan mutaqabbalan) are those that are done sincerely for Allah's sake and are pleasing to Him. By asking for these three things, you are essentially asking Allah to grant you a day that is spiritually beneficial, materially blessed, and pleasing in His sight, contributing to a tranquil and peaceful state of mind.
