اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا.
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.
When to Read
This dua is traditionally recited in the morning after Fajr prayer. It sets a positive and productive tone for the entire day, asking Allah to bless our efforts and guide our intentions.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and focus. Raise your hands slightly if possible, as is customary for supplication. Ensure you understand the meaning, internalizing the request for beneficial knowledge, pure sustenance, and deeds that are accepted by Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
This powerful morning supplication is an excellent way to start your day by seeking Allah's blessings in three crucial areas: knowledge that benefits yourself and others, provision that is pure and lawful, and actions that are sincere and pleasing to Him. By asking for 'accepted deeds', we acknowledge that ultimate success lies in Allah's grace. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would make this dua every morning, showing its importance in establishing a day that is pleasing to Allah and fruitful for the believer.

Narrated by Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her): Whenever the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said the morning prayer, and he was finished with his taslim, he would say: 'O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is useful, provision that is good and lawful, and deeds that are accepted.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 925, graded Sahih by Al-Albani. Also found in Sahih Muslim 7:11 in a similar wording but without explicit mention of it being said *after* Fajr, though the context implies morning.)
