When to Read

This dua is recited immediately after exiting the restroom (toilet/bathroom). It's a beautiful practice that marks a transition, acknowledging that even in our most private moments, we are in need of Allah's mercy.

How to Read

This is a short, powerful phrase. It's typically said once after you have finished your business and are exiting the restroom. The Sunnah is to step out with your right foot, and this dua is uttered as you emerge.

Virtues & Benefits

This practice reflects a deep awareness of our constant need for Allah's forgiveness. Even after fulfilling a basic human need, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to turn to Allah, recognizing our inherent shortcomings and seeking His covering. It's a testament to the comprehensive nature of Islam, where even our daily routines are opportunities for remembrance and seeking closeness to our Creator.
