غُفْرَانَكَ، الَّذِي تَعَلَّمُ مِنِّي وَلَمْ تُعَلِّمْهُ غَيْرِي

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to say, when he came out of the toilet: Ghufranaka. (O Allah, I seek Your forgiveness.) He used to say: Ghufranaka, alladhi ta'allamu minni wa lam tu'allimhu ghayri. (I seek Your forgiveness. [You know] what I have learned and what You have not taught others [than me].) — Sunan Abi Dawud 30, Sunan Ibn Majah 303. This hadith is classified as Hasan by some scholars due to its chain of narration.
