Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'When one of you relieves himself, let him say: 'Glory be to Allah, the Great.' He said: 'He said: 'Al-hamdu lillahil-ladhi adhaqani bini'matihi wa 'afani min suqmin.' (Praise is to Allah Who has made me taste His favour and relieved me from distress.)' - Sunan Ibn Majah 303. (Note: While the initial part of the hadith mentions 'Glory be to Allah, the Great,' the specific dua provided in the question is the one narrated and accepted for this context by many scholars.)
