أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ.

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.

When to Read

This powerful supplication is excellent to recite daily, especially in the morning and evening. It's a shield for you and your loved ones against any harm, seen or unseen, that might befall your family, whether it's malicious whispers, harmful influences, or temptations that stray from the straight path. Make it a habit after Fajr and Asr prayers, or whenever you feel a need for extra protection.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and full conviction, picturing Allah's perfect words as a fortress around your family. You can make this dua individually, or gather your family and recite it together, raising your hands and directing your supplication to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to say this three times in the morning and three times in the evening for comprehensive protection.

Virtues & Benefits

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Whoever says this (the dua above) three times in the morning, nothing will harm him that day. Whoever says it three times in the evening, nothing will harm him that night.' (Sahih Muslim 2708). This hadith highlights the immense protective power of this dua. By seeking refuge in Allah's perfect words, we are relying on His ultimate power to ward off all forms of evil – physical, spiritual, and psychological – that could impact our family's well-being and their connection to the Deen.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what has the Prophet ﷺ encountered from you last night?' He said: 'A jinn bit him.' He said: 'Shall I not recite some words for you, with which you seek refuge with Allah from what he possesses, just as the physicians treat the patient?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Say: O Allah, I seek refuge in Your perfect words from the evil of what You have created.' (He said this) three times. And the man was cured. So the Prophet ﷺ gave him sustenance for his family for a year, and he gave him sustenance for himself for a year.
