Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates the essence of a believer's relationship with Allah. By asking for help in remembrance (dhikr), we are seeking the key to closeness with our Creator. Dhikr keeps our hearts alive and prevents us from becoming heedless. Asking for help in gratitude (shukr) reminds us to acknowledge Allah's countless blessings, which in turn invites more blessings. Seeking help in worshipping Him in the best manner (husni 'ibadatika) encourages us to strive for excellence in all our acts of worship, performing them with khushu' (humility and concentration). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself taught this comprehensive dua, showing its immense value in maintaining a strong, vibrant connection with Allah throughout our lives.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by me while I was praying. He called me but I did not feel him. I came to him and he said: 'What prevented you from responding to me? Did you not hear?' He said: 'What prevented you from responding to me? Did you not hear?' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I was praying.' He said: 'The most excellent of deeds is not but prayer.' He said: 'Indeed, the most excellent of deeds is not but prayer.' Then he said: 'O Allah, help me to remember You, and to give thanks to You, and to worship You in the best manner.'
