Guidance & Hidayah
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 2710

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي وَسَدِّدْنِي وَاذْكُرْ بِعِصْمَتِكَ وَاغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَنْ جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ

O Allah, guide me and make me firm (in right guidance), remember me with Your protection and enrich me with Your bounty, making me independent of all Your creation.

Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni, wadhkur bi 'ismatika wagh'nini bifadlika 'an jami'i khalqika.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua encapsulates a believer's fundamental needs: Allah's guidance (ihdini), steadfastness (saddidni), protection from sin and error through His grace (wadhkur bi 'ismatika), and a contented reliance on Him alone, free from dependence on anyone else (wagh'nini bifadlika 'an jami'i khalqika). By seeking guidance through this dua, one invites Allah to connect their heart to the historical narrative of Islam. Understanding this history isn't just about dates and events; it's about witnessing Allah's promises fulfilled, His messengers' struggles, and the unwavering faith of those who came before. This historical lens, illuminated by this dua, fortifies faith by providing tangible proof of Allah's support and wisdom throughout time, making abstract beliefs concrete.
