When Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked to narrate a hadith about supplication, he said: 'The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught us supplication and told us to supplicate with it. He used to supplicate with this supplication: اللَّهُمَّ آتِنِي هُدَى، وَسَدِّدْنِي، وَاغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي. "O Allah, grant me guidance, set me aright, forgive me, and have mercy upon me."'
