O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.
Allahumma inni as'alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-'afafa wal-ghina
When to Read
This dua is profoundly beneficial when you feel yourself being swayed by misleading arguments, or when you sense someone is trying to twist your perception of reality. How to Read
Raise your hands as you would during supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Utter the words with sincerity, focusing on the meaning and acknowledging your need for Allah's help. Feel the weight of your request for clarity and protection. Believe that Allah, the All-Knowing, will grant you the insight needed. It is best recited after Salah, or during the times when dua is particularly accepted, like the last third of the night.
