اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan.

It's especially potent when starting a new task or embarking on a significant act of worship, like Hajj or giving charity. Think of it as a quick spiritual check-in, a moment to realign your heart with Allah before your actions speak.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a humble heart. Raise your hands as you would in supplication. Focus on the meaning of each part: asking for knowledge that benefits the soul and guides your actions, pure provision that doesn't lead you astray, and deeds that are pleasing to Allah. Reflect on how your intentions can elevate even the simplest acts.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua encapsulates three crucial elements for a life of purpose and acceptance. Beneficial knowledge illuminates the path, pure provision keeps the heart and body free from haram, and accepted deeds are the ultimate goal of our worship. By asking for these, we are essentially asking Allah to grant us the ability to worship Him with a sincere intention, free from the desire for worldly praise or recognition. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would often make this specific supplication.
Source & Authentication
‘Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) began to pray, he would say: O Allah, Lord of Gabriel, Michael, Israfil, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and that which is manifest, You are the judge between Your servants in that wherein they differ. Guide me to the truth in what we differ by Your leave. Verily, You guide whom You will to the straight path. He would also say: Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan. (O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.)
