اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْنِي الْهُدَى، وَفَهِّمْنِي الصَّوَابَ، وَعَلِّمْنِي التَّأْوِيلَ.
O Allah, teach me guidance, make me understand what is right, and teach me interpretation.
Allahumma 'allimni al-huda, wa fahhimni as-sawaba, wa 'allimni at-ta'wil.
When to Read

How to Read
Raise your hands in supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Recite with sincerity and a clear intention, seeking Allah's wisdom. It's recommended to start with praising Allah and sending salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ before and after the du'a, and to have conviction that Allah will respond.
Virtues & Benefits
This du'a directly asks Allah for three crucial elements: guidance (al-huda) to know the right path, understanding of correctness (as-sawab) to distinguish right from wrong, and the ability to interpret and understand (at-ta'wil) situations and words. This combination equips a believer to navigate complex social interactions, including relationships, with clarity, preventing them from falling prey to deception or misunderstanding.

It was narrated from Ibn Abbas: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught him this supplication: 'Allahumma 'allimni al-huda, wa fahhimni as-sawaba, wa 'allimni at-ta'wil.' (O Allah, teach me guidance, make me understand what is right, and teach me interpretation).
