Guidance & Hidayah
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 7

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

When to Read

This is a powerful dua to recite daily, especially after the Fajr prayer. It's also fitting to say it at the beginning of any new endeavor where you seek to acquire knowledge or at any point when you feel a gap between what you know and what you do.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, understanding the profound request you are making to Allah. Raise your hands as you would in supplication, facing the Qiblah if possible. Reflect on each part of the dua: 'beneficial knowledge' that helps you, 'pure provision' that sustains you lawfully, and 'accepted deeds' that genuinely bring you closer to Allah. Make sure to pronounce the Arabic clearly.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua encapsulates a holistic request for spiritual and worldly well-being. 'Beneficial knowledge' is knowledge that guides you to good and steers you away from harm. 'Pure provision' ensures that your sustenance is lawful and brings barakah (blessings). Most importantly, 'accepted deeds' are those performed sincerely for Allah's pleasure and in accordance with His commands, which are the ultimate goal of a believer. The acceptance of deeds is entirely in Allah's hands, making this a crucial request.
