Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni, wadhkur bi-hudaka sananar-rashadi, wa qini bi-rahmatika minash-shaytanir-rajimi.

Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua asks Allah for two crucial elements: direct guidance (hidayah) and the correction of one's aim or direction (tasdeed). It acknowledges that true understanding and right action stem from Allah's divine guidance. By seeking refuge from the accursed devil, who is the source of deception, we also ask for protection against the subtle whispers that can lead us astray, especially through media. This prayer cultivates a discerning mind and a pure heart, essential for navigating the complexities of modern information flow.
Source & Authentication
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us this beautiful and comprehensive dua. It was narrated by Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) got up to pray, he would say: 'O Allah, guide me and set me on the right path. Remind me by Your guidance of the ways of righteousness, and protect me by Your mercy from the accursed devil.' (Allahumma ihdini wa saddidni, wadhkur bi-hudaka sananar-rashadi, wa qini bi-rahmatika minash-shaytanir-rajimi).
